They were in the same household as a child being raised by her parents in Concord California. When she was a child she wanted to become professional soccer player however in 2002 she suffered an injury to her ankle during her final year in high school. After recovering from her injury, she was able playing as a striker at Pleasant Hill California at Diablo Valley College where she earned an associate's degree in art. She was named Junior College All-American and transferred to Arizona State University, where she put off playing soccer for doubts about herself. Then she went to California State University Fullerton where they awarded her a degree in Business Management as well as a minor in Human Resource Management She graduated with a Bachelor's of Arts. The course was completed in Los Angeles where she began a profession in modeling, promotional work and acting. In LA, she ran upon an audition call for W.W.E. through chance, and after impressing talent scouts, she was selected for a tryout period. Then, in Orlando Florida she started her training with through the Performance Center. She joined Total Divas W.W.E in May of 2013. show. After that, she dyed her red hair and donned the name Eva Marie. W.W.E. was not without its difficulties. In 2017, she terminated her agreement with W.W.E. anymore.
